My first sucessful schoolproject for IB Higher Art. I have used the printing method (Etching) and rolled it on to a watercolour paper I had painted with beige watercolours. Then I used a wet paintbrush to drag out the pink paint from the zebra to make it "bleed". next was to use a pen (not ball-pen) to draw on top of the printing. Then I also used water on this to let the ink bleed out.
Thank you I used watercolours, printing, pen and a lot of water on watercolour paper. If you can see it, there is a codebar on the stomach symbolizing animal trade and I tried to show how we let animals suffer without caring and how they are used to our benefits. Zebras.. well. they are used for carpets etc.

You're welcome! That's so cool. I can totally relate to that symbolism, it's really terrible what humans will do to further themselves in the world. Zebras (and other animals!) are such lovely creatures.
We love horses, we love drawing, we love gifts, AND we love Christmas. We're gonna combine all that to make Christmas 2009 on dA a seriously awesome one!
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.

I kind of think of loneliness and a sense of being lost, or running away from something.
